WHAT IS A FAMILY OF FAITH?

This catechesis model invests in the faith development of families, giving parents the tools to support faith formation at home. 

While parents attend monthly adult catechesis presentations, students participate in group activities with peers. 

Parents return home prepared to build upon the foundation received throughout the month supported by curriculum materials from Sophia Institute, the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and invitations to other faith building opportunities offered throughout the month.

Both parents & students attend monthly Faith Formation nights

All families seeking formation must enroll in Family of Faith. 

Applicable for families with students in grades Pre-K through 12th grade

Who is Family of Faith Formation for?  

Monthly Family of Faith welcomes all households in our pastorate -- young and old, married or single, and Catholic school families. 

Family of Faith is the primary source of formation for all parishioners.

For Families in Sacramental Preparation: Families preparing a child for the First Sacraments of Reconciliation & Holy Communion (who do not attend Sacred Heart or St. Joseph Schools) or Confirmation must also attend all 8 Family of Faith sessions. 

Confirmation candidates and their parents are also required to attend as their on-going Faith Formation.

What are the Registration Fees?

$35 | For an adult 

$110 | For a family with one child

$165 | For a family with 2-5 children

$200 | For a family with 6 or more children

What’s Covered by the Registration Fee?

• Dinner for all who attend the Sunday Family of Faith sessions (8 months)
• Participant and Activity Guides 
• Food & supplies for Youth Night (Middle and High School formation groups and their activities)
• Sacramental Prep textbooks and hand-outs 
• Plus: certificates, envelopes, and any other miscellaneous expenses.
